Society of Automobile Engineering in INDIA is India’s leading resource for mobility technology. SAE INDIA is an affiliate society of SAE International registered in India as an Indian nonprofit engineering and scientific society dedicated to the advancement of mobility industry in India, which includes the participation of Engineers, Executives from Industry, Government Officials, Academics and Students.
SAEINDIA is a professional engineering society whose membership represents practically every engineering and scientific discipline. Its members combine their specialized abilities to further advance the research, development, design, manufacture and utilization of vehicles which operate on land, water, air and space.
The student body of Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology is encouraged to associate themselves with this world-renowned organization through the SAE local chapter.
During the year 2014, SAE Student Chapter at GRIET was formed with 53 student members and 2 faculty advisors. The main purpose of this chapter is to disseminate of knowledge of the theory and practice of all aspects of design, manufacturing in automotive engineering, aerospace engineering and to enable the furtherance of professional development of the students.

To advance mobility knowledge and solutions for the benefit of humanity. SAEINDIA GRIET COLLEGIATE CLUB is the leader in connecting and educating mobility engineers to enable safe, clean, and accessible mobility solutions.

1.Mega All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Championship 2021
Won overall All India 1st Prize in Mega All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Challenge Event which was held at Goa during (9-14) April 2021.
2.FMAE BAJA 2020
Won overall All India 2nd Prize, 1st in Sales, 1st in Endurance, 1st in Hill Climb, 2nd in Design Report, 2nd in Suspension and 2nd in Acceleration in FMAE BAJA which was held at Hyderabad.
3.ETWDC 2019
Electric Two Wheeler Design Competition (ETWDC-2019) held at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Erode from 27th to 29th September 2019.
4.FMAE BAJA 2018
Won overall All India 2nd Prize, 1st in Technical Inspection, 2nd in Endurance, 1st in Cost Report and 2nd in Design Report in FMAE BAJA which was held at Hyderabad.
5.GOKART CHAMPIONSHIP VIRTUALS
Students of Mechanical Department secured 12th Position in Gokarting Championship Virtuals which was conducted by Indian Karting Championship (IKC).
6. AERODESIGN 2018
Students participated in AERODESIGN Competition 2018 which was held at Chennai and secured 15th Position.
7.ESI BAJA 2018
Students participated in ESI BAJA 2018 which was held at Coimbatore and secured 35th Position.

Students Participated in Two National Level Competitions SAE BAJA 2017 and ESI BAJA 2017.
